NetherRealms leaves the deadly battle and moves on
—
After two years of updates and additions, NetherRealms now considers itself finished Mortal Kombat 11. Many of the fans, however, question the decision when Daanish Syed at NeitherRealms previously stated that Mortal Kombat 11 would be receiving support for many years to come.
Syed was initially asked if support for MK11 would be maintained for more than two years, to which he replied:
“Oh it’s goning to be – by a lot”
–
It may then seem a bit ironic that they cut ties with the 11 just after two years have passed. It should also be added that NetherRealms also received criticism for leaving Mortal Kombat 10 way too early.
NetherRealms announces via twitter that they are moving forward to be able to focus on their next project. Could this possibly be Mortal Kombat 12 or maybe a new one Injustice for the new console generation?
