Climate activist Greta Thunberg was brought to The Hague today during a demonstration by environmental group Extinction Rebellion against fossil fuel subsidies.
Thunberg was led into a bus by Dutch police along with other protesters, who attempted to block a major highway.
Thunberg took part in a rally of hundreds of activists and was arrested when he and a group of around 100 people attempted to block the A12 motorway.

Access to this highway has been blocked for long hours more than 10 times in recent months by activists calling for an end to all fossil fuel subsidies.
In previous mobilizations, the police had led the arrested protesters to another part of the city, where they had released them without further consequences.
The local police have not yet commented on the incident.
