Netflix’s Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga trailer arrives

Eurovision — the fabulous song and dance showcase where European nations compete for glory — is canceled this year due to COVID-19 concerns. In order to fill the Eurovision void in all our hearts, Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams don bedazzled jumpsuits and take on the persona of Icelandic duo Fire Saga in an upcoming Netflix movie.

Aptly titled Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, the movie looks like a Blades of Glory take on Eurovision, as Lars (Ferrell) and Sigrit (McAdams) prove themselves worthy of competing in the world’s largest song and dance competition. Pierce Brosnan stars as Lars’ disapproving father, with Dan Stevens as sexy Russian competitor Alexander Lemtov.

Before the first trailer dropped, Netflix released a music video for one of Fire Saga’s in-universe songs. Titled “Volcano Man,” the electronic tune features Will Ferrell’s ominous grunting as well as soaring views of the Icelandic landscape. And it might just get stuck in your head.

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga debuts on Netflix on June 26.
