Netflix will release no fewer than 25 Korean ‘originals’ in 2022 | showbiz

Last year, Netflix invested half a billion dollars in Korean content. And it clearly paid off, because ‘Squid Game’ quickly became the most-watched Netflix series ever. Moreover, 98 percent of the viewers did not come from Korea itself. Still, many viewers went looking for other Korean content after that, according to Netflix. ‘Hellbound’ and ‘The Silent Sea’ among others did very well.

And so Netflix continues to pump money into Korean products. In 2022, for example, 25 new ‘originals’ will be added. We can expect a Korean version of ‘La Casa De Papel’, the action film ‘Seoul Vibe’ and zombie series ‘All of Us Are Dead’.
