Those who have made purchases in dollars with the credit card and are not covered by the Income Tax can request the reimbursement of 35% that the Government retains for this type of operations or for the purchase of dollars to save.
There are those who bought products abroad and consequently the billing is in dollars, and those who hired services whose responsible companies are abroad, so the payment is also in dollars.
This category includes Netflix, Spotify, Amazon Prime and other streaming entertainment platforms, which, being abroad, are billed in dollars and consequently consume the quota of up to 200 dollars per month that the Government allows to acquire or consume.
To request the 35% that is charged additionally, the consumer who does not pay the Income Tax or Personal Assets must have CUIT, tax code of at least level 2, Electronic Tax Address and inform the AFIP of the CBU of the account where the refund will be deposited.
To do this, you must enter the AFIP site and register the “My withholdings” service in “Fiscal code relations manager”. Once done, the next step is to click on “Search” to display a list with official logos of the Treasury, both national and provincial. In that list you must select “AFIP” and then click on “Administrative Services”.
This will take you to another site that will show three blue buttons on the right. The one to be selected is the one that says “New relationship” and then “Search”.
This will display a list with all the services available to the taxpayer. On that screen, you must go to where it says “My withholdings” to confirm the profile and complete the required fields that are required with personal data and the retention for which you want to consult.
Finally, by entering “Refund of AFIP Earnings” it will be possible to view the pre-loaded earnings according to the CUIT, and those that cannot be loaded manually.
After the request, AFIP will evaluate the corresponding order and if it approves it, it will deposit the amount withheld in the informed account.
