Over time, the work has been reinterpreted and reinterpreted on multiple occasions, partly thanks to Oesterheld’s tragic personal story, who disappeared during the military dictatorship in Argentina. The reading of El Eternauta as a metaphor for resistance to oppression has maintained its relevance, and its influence has been felt not only in comics, but also in art and politics.

The work of Francisco Solano Lopez As a cartoonist, with his characteristic black and white style, he perfectly complemented Oesterheld’s scripts.
