Netflix has confirmed that it will no longer support older iPhones and iPads running iOS 16. The move applies to devices like the first-generation iPhone X and iPad Pro, which cannot be updated to iOS 17.

In the latest update of Netflix’s iOS app, a notification appeared informing users that support for iOS 16 is no longer available. “We’ve updated the Netflix app! To use the latest version, please update to iOS 17 or later,” reads the message, which appears on iOS 16 devices.
For now, iOS 16 users can ignore the notification and continue using the app, but it may stop working in the future. App updates are important not only for new features, but also for bug fixes and security improvements.
