A violent fire broke out on the set of Netflix’s beloved vintage series. A palace built 150 years ago was destroyed. Here’s what it is all about and what fans who were ready to go to the cinema in late April should expect.
From April 28, the new film starring the characters of a beloved Netflix series, Downtown Abbey: The New Era, will arrive in all Italian cinemas. The film will revolve around two main events: the donation of a wonderful estate in the south of France, behind which lies unspeakable intrigues dating back many years.

Netflix, here’s what will happen due to the fire
Just as the spectators most loyal to the series are counting down to return to see their favorites at the cinema, the news of a terrible accident arrives from England. As documented by a short video released by The Scottish Sun, a building that is part of the film’s set has burnt completely.
The reasons for what happened are not yet known and it has not yet been established whether the origin of the fire is arson. The first news coming from the place of the fire, which took place on March 3, reports that the roof and floors have completely collapsed. The building, which has over 150 years of history, will therefore have to be demolished.
What happened and where: the eyewitness account
This is a serious loss to the English film heritage. That building, initially built to accommodate 200 employees, was later destined for the period series thanks to its architecture. Dowtown Abbey isn’t the only Netflix series filmed there before the fire: it is too Peaky Blinders did some filming in those places.
Here are pictures of the fire at the disused Dalton Mills factory in Westshire, southern England. An eyewitness told the BBC that he first saw smoke coming out of the building. In a short time the flames broke out, which immediately reached the adjacent buildings.
