Netflix cuts prices in over 100 countries worldwide – IT Pro – News

That series runs at 4K with dolby vision at 18.48 mbps, it looks ‘relatively’ ok. Again, we’re going purely on facts here.

Something that looks fantastic for Jan looks bad for Kees. Someone who always eats ‘delicious’ at a €20 pp All-you-can-eat restaurant does not mean that this is ‘high’ quality food. What I mean by that is that this is extremely ‘relative’.

So my proposal is that the offer be offered on Bitrate, enforced if necessary.

I have no idea if your Netflix client can see ‘stats-for-nerds’, so the bitrate info. On LG TVs you can press the ‘info’ button on your remote control, on the Xbox press the right stick. If you then watch different Netflix material, you will see that the bitrates are variable on a lot of content.

Of all mainstream streaming services, AppleTV+ offers the highest bitrate. (Except for Sony’s exclusive service with a few titles). That is also not mega high, but much more stable, in principle the highest bit rate on all content. At Netflix they are screwed and messing around to (I think) save data traffic, I can’t think of a better reason.

All in all, if you (or others) think the content, e.g. the new ‘Drive to Survive’ looks fantastic on (judging by my bitrate offering from my previous post) the 10 mbps package, then you’re in luck and can you can enjoy 4K on the cheapest package. However, then the people who find it less attractive can take the more expensive package and they will also be satisfied. And then everyone gets what they paid for it.
