Reed Hastings, co-founder of the Netflix streaming service and CEO of the company, he announced his resignation. Hastings explained his decision by saying that “our board of directors has been discussing plans for the future for many years (even the founders must evolve!)” And that he will remain in the company as president. Already in 2020 he had been joined in the role of managing director by Ted Sarandos, until then head of content. Sarandos will now be joined by Greg Peters, to date chief operating officer of Netflix.
