Netflix is shining its plans for a sequel to the film Bright to have deleted.
Bloomberg reporter Lucas Shaw reports that. Not only does he let it be known that a National Geographic project with Will Smith deleted, but also that Netflix has decided to cancel the planned sequel to Bright to cancel.

The reason why the sequel to Bright does not come is not reported by Shaw. At the same time, of course, everything points to this having to do with the hugely controversial moment during this year’s Oscars ceremony.
Then Will Smith hit live on American television host Chris Rock to his face after he made some misguided jokes about Smith’s wife’s illness Jada Pinkett-Smith had made. It was a reason for many companies to distance themselves from Smith.
Bright 2 was given the green light in 2017. But since then we have heard very little. We were only told that Max Landis would not write the script and that David Yesterday would now take care of it together with Evan Spiliotopoulos.
