After the global sensation Drive To Survive, Netflix is tackling F1 Academy this time! The American juggernaut has announced the production of a documentary series on the 100% women’s championship, which will be broadcast in 2025. This program “will highlight the drama of the races as well as the personal stories and important issues of the drivers”.
Leading this initiative is Susie Wolff, Director of the F1 Academy: “We want to be the rocket engine that drives female participation in our sport, both on and off the track. The global launch of the F1 ACADEMY docuseries with Netflix is not only a huge step forward in terms of visibility, but also a resounding statement on the momentum and demand for women’s sport. We want to inspire and empower the next generation of young women, and Netflix will open F1 ACADEMY to a global audience of existing and future fans. »
