Netflix is working on a sequel to its popular animated film The beast of the sea. Chris Williams, the director and writer of that film, signed a deal with the streaming service for it. He’s also about to do another project for Netflix. The Hollywood Reporter reports it.
Last year it was The beast of the sea – a film about an orphan girl who goes on an adventure with legendary sea monster hunters – a big hit on Netflix. Release received a lot of positive reactions and became the platform’s most watched animated film.

The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Williams has struck a deal with Netflix for a second The beast of the seamovie making.
He is also working on a fantasy film. More details about these projects are not yet known at this time.

Talent from the Disney stable
Williams previously worked for Disney for twenty-five years and made, among other things big hero 6 (2014) a Vaiana (2016) for the study. You won an Oscar for the former; he was nominated for second.
Although the director says he had a lot of fun in the mouse’s house, he needed a new adventure. Eventually, he partnered with Netflix.
