“Netflix Advertising Plan Reaches 5 Million Subscribers in 6 Months, Shares Jump 9%”

[인포스탁데일리=윤서연 기자] Netflix shares jumped 9% on the news that the new advertising plan reached 5 million users in six months.

On the 18th local time, Netflix shares on the New York Stock Exchange closed at $371.29, up 9.22% from the previous day.

It recorded the highest in a year and a month since April 5 last year ($380.15).

This can be attributed to the rapid increase in the number of advertising plan subscribers.

In a briefing session for advertisers the previous day, Netflix announced that the number of monthly active users (MAU) worldwide for low-cost plans with ads reached about 5 million.

In the meantime, Netflix has been building an ad-free subscription system, but when the number of subscribers stagnated, in November of last year, it launched a rate plan with a reduced subscription fee instead of watching ads in 12 markets, including Korea and the United States.
