Netanyahu’s Stance on Gaza Blockade and Hamas: Press Conference Highlights

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed the blockade on the northern front, noting that “I and I previously warned Hezbollah against entering the war.”

He pointed out, in a press conference, that “the army will continue to work to control the Gaza Strip to ensure that there is no threat from Gaza,” considering that “Hamas is an integral part of the axis led by Iran.”

Netanyahu pointed out that “there will be no ceasefire in Gaza without the return of the prisoners,” stressing that “our policy was not to contain Hamas or strengthen its power, but rather to strike and crush it.”

After French President Emmanuel Macron called on Tel Aviv to stop bombing and killing civilians, Netanyahu claimed, “The President of France did many good things, but he made a grave mistake. Whoever kills children and uses them as shields is Hamas, not us,” as he put it.

He stated, “I do not believe that the return of settlement in Gaza is a realistic goal, and I said that our goal is to make it a demilitarized zone under security authority.”
