Responding to US President Joe Biden’s critical comments about the Israeli government, against the backdrop of ongoing military operations in Gaza StripIsraeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cited a recent poll showing that most Americans support Israel in its war on Hamas.
In a televised interview, the US president warned that if Israel continues with this “incredibly conservative government” it risks losing the support of the international community.
“Since the beginning of the war, I have been leading a diplomatic campaign aimed at deflecting pressure for an early end to it and at the same time securing support for Israel,” Netanyahu said today. Citing a poll released Monday that found 82 percent of Americans support Israel in its war with Hamas, Netanyahu did not hide his satisfaction.
“We have significant support” and this gives us “the strength to continue the war against Hamas until total victory”, explained the Prime Minister of Israel.
