Enemy media reported yesterday that prime minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu would appoint Israel Katz to take over as foreign minister and Yoav Gallant as security minister.
Yisrael Katz, the current member of the “Knesset” for the “Likud” party, was a member of the “Israeli” Security Council and previously held various ministerial positions, including the minister of transport, intelligence, foreign and finance.
In turn, Yoav Gallant previously held the position of commander of the southern region in the army, before joining the Kulanu party in January 2015. After being elected to the Knesset, he was appointed Minister of Construction and in late 2018 joined to join the Likud party.
And Jewish “Channel 12” earlier announced that Netanyahu will take the constitutional oath on Thursday to officially assume the role of prime minister.
Netanyahu was able to form his new government late last Wednesday evening, with his right-wing allies, just minutes before the end of the mandate granted to him by Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
Interestingly, thousands of “Israeli” protesters have taken to the streets of Jaffa and Tel Aviv since early last week to protest the formation of a new Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu.
