Jerusalem: The president of the Liquid Party, Benjamin Netanyahu, a former prime minister, will be tasked with forming a new government in Israel. President Isaac Herzog announced the decision after the election.
The elections were on November 1st. The government will be formed after talking to leaders, including elected political parties. After the election results, Herzog held a three-day discussion with party representatives. The announcement was made later.
Netanyahu’s name has been proposed by the 64 members of the Senate. 28 members proposed the name of Yer Lipid, president of the Yesh Ated party. 28 members abstained. Then came the invitation from the President’s office to form the government. The government should be formed within 28 days.
