Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Israeli soldiers near the Gaza Strip on Saturday. The country is expected to carry out an invasion of Gaza within a short time.
– Are you ready for the next step? The next step will come soon, Netanyahu told the soldiers in a video released by his office.
The Prime Minister did not elaborate in the video what he meant by the next step. In the video, the soldiers can be seen nodding in response to Netanyahu.
According to the newspaper Haaretz Netanyahu visited the area to see the extent of the damage after Hamas’s surprise attack last Saturday.
Israel is expected to carry out a large-scale ground invasion of the Gaza Strip, and the Israeli military has given civilians in northern Gaza deadlines to travel south. The last deadline expired on Saturday at 15:00 Norwegian time.
