Josiane, a retired resident of the neighborhood, and Philippe, the garden facilitator working on several neighborhood houses in Saint-Martin-d’Hères, had originally designed a birdhouse to install in the garden of the Romain-Rolland neighborhood house. Nicely decorated and produced with great skill, it was finally adapted and transformed by Josiane and the community center team into a suggestion box, so that each visitor to the house can put in their suggestions for future activities or events. For the realization, the decoration, the painting and the pyrography, Josiane devoted about eight Wednesdays, but the result was well worth all this investment.
At the start of the school year, Josiane and Philippe plan to make not only nesting boxes for the garden but also feeders for the birds in view of winter.
