Representatives of the Neste gas station network have confirmed that all “Easy Deli” self-service stores in Latvia are closing. Armands Beiziķis, chairman of the board of Neste Latvija, revealed this in a conversation with “Delfi Bizness”.
The first store of this type in Latvia was opened in July 2021, company representatives explained that the total amount of investment in the implementation of this new concept store was 500,000 euros. Within two years, Neste opened a total of five such self-service stores within the territory of its filling stations – in Riga, Salaspils, Ogre and Tīnūži.
In the interview, Beizičis states that the concept of fully automated stores has not lived up to the expectations, so the decision has been made to close them. A new operator will start serving the stores very soon, which will be reported separately, explains Neste Latvija’s chairman of the board.
