Neshka Robeva Critiques New Government,Calls for Depersonalized State Leadership
Legendary rhythmic gymnastics coach and socialite Neshka Robeva has weighed in on Bulgaria’s political landscape following the election of a new government. In a candid social media post, Robeva expressed her skepticism about the coalition’s effectiveness while wishing them courage and success in managing a “depersonalized state.”
Robeva, known for her sharp insights and unapologetic opinions, questioned the necessity of the new government. “I ask myself—did we need a government? Most would answer Yes! Is this coalition the best? from what we’ve heard about the program and its strategy, it’s irrelevant,” she wrote. She further argued that even if figures like Medi Dogan and the controversial Peevski were part of the coalition alongside PP-DB, little would change. The coach described the coalition’s resurgence as a “mission impractical,” suggesting that opposition roles are more profitable for political parties. ”For them, being in the opposition is the most profitable,” she added.
Robeva also warned of potential drama if the government becomes overly servile to the european Union. She singled out the BSP (Bulgarian Socialist Party), cautioning its leaders against justifying their actions if such policies are enacted. “The biggest drama and rather tragedy of such behavior will be for the BSP,” she stated. She reminded the party of the “Ninova Effect,” referencing the fallout from the BSP’s previous participation in the PP government.
“Let its current leaders not imagine that if at some point, in spite of everything, such idiocies are carried out, they will be able to get away with the excuse: ‘But we did not agree, we did not vote…’ If, despite everything, it happens, at least to overtake ITN and leave the government—without justification, condescension, and pointing out any merits,” Robeva asserted.
She concluded her post with a call for less politicking and more focus on governance. “Let’s wish the new government courage and success in managing a depersonalized country… and less politicking,” she wrote.
