Famous TV journalist Neri Terzieva died at a hospital in Plovdiv that night at the age of 70. Her death was due to complications from diabetes, from which Terzieva suffered for many years.
She was born on February 21, 1952 in Velingrad. She graduated in journalism from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski ”. From 1975 to 1989 she was a reporter and presenter at the Plovdiv Television Center at BNT. Since 1990 he has been a news producer, host of the central news program “Around the World and in Bulgaria” and program director of BNT (1990-1993). Founder and director of the TV program “Air 2” on BNT since June 1, 1992. She is a co-author and host of the first economic program on BNT – “For a billion”.
From January 27, 1997 to January 2002, Terzieva was press secretary to President Petar Stoyanov. He is the author of the Tempo project for national independent television, which won a competition in the 36th National Assembly (1991-1994).
Terzieva is the author of many documentaries and the screenwriter of the feature film Stolen Eyes (2005). On May 29, 2016 she was awarded the special award for television journalism “Saint Vlas” for her contribution to television journalism and the launch of BIT television.
