"Neon Saturdays" returns with a spring ballad and invites to a concert tonight

“There are a number of reasons why the theme of romantic relationships constantly occupies the minds of singers and sets them creative. Often, it is the connection with someone that pushes us towards change. Often this trend scares us and alarms us. Life shows that it is usually most valuable to give in to these changes, but within reason. There is a story of this song about the ability to do it, ”explains guitarist and lyricist Edvīns Rakickis.

The new single “Neon Saturdays” deviates from the most common rock sound, preferring spring timbres and relaxing rhythms. The song has been created in close collaboration with the local producer “JJ LUSH” (Jānis Jačmenkins).

Already tonight, March 12, at 19:00, local musicians invite everyone to join the live broadcast Facebook group profile which will feature a gorgeous single presentation concert from Sigulda in Devon.

A domestic group that is also listened to abroad

The group “Neon Saturdays” consists of Andris Ēvelis (vocals), Mārtiņš Rudzītis (bass guitar), Linards Lazdiņš (drums) and Edvīns Rakickis (guitar) journalist of Rīgas Vilni Publishing House.

Last year, the band entered the finals of Latvijas Radio 2 “Muzikālās Bankas” as debutants, winning the 11th place among many Latvian-recognized and well-known musicians.

During the existence of “Neon Saturdays”, two albums and several singles have been released, which have entered the charts of the largest local radio stations. The 2018 album “Freaks In The Ocean” gained the support of local critics and also aired on radio stations outside the Baltics.

A year ago, the band released their first song in Latvian. The popular domestic rapper Reiks was also involved in the creation of the single “So Loud”. The band’s next singles in Latvian soon reached the audience – the songs “I’m not afraid” and “Wander the Heart”.

During the concert tours “Neon Saturdays” has toured the Baltic States and Great Britain several times, where in 2015 the band, as one of the first representatives of Latvia, played at the prestigious festival of young European musicians “The Great Escape”.
