Team Neon EVM launched its solution on the Solana mainnet. Thanks to him, Ethereum developers can deploy dapps on this blockchain.
Neon EVM is an Ethereum virtual machine that runs as a smart contract on the Solana network.
“Dapps developers get around the high fees in Ethereum with rollups and sidechains. We offer an alternative – the Solana blockchain. Testing in Devnet showed that Neon EVM implements low commissions of this network in practice,” comments Marina Gurieva, CEO of the project.
The average cost of sending ETH in the Ethereum blockchain is about $2, in L2 solutions – from $0.1 to $0.20. The average transaction fee on the Solana network is ~0.00001 SOL ($0.0002).
Together with Neon EVM, the decentralized autonomous organization Neon DAO was launched on the Solana mainnet. Its participants can influence the development of the project by voting with native NEON tokens.
Earlier, Solana Labs co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko called Ethereum a possible L2 solution for the Solana blockchain.
