Xiaomi is currently the leading smartphone brand in Europe. For the first time, the Chinese brand reached first place in the top, taking into account the number of equipment sold in the second quarter of this year. According to data from Strategy Analytics, it outperformed rivals Samsung and Apple.
The same analysis indicates that Xiaomi shipped 12.7 million mobile phones from its factories to stores (shipment) in the second quarter, gaining a 25.3% share in the European market. This is an increase of 67.1% compared to the same period last year.
Samsung, in turn, recorded a market share of 24%, corresponding to a decrease of 7% year-on-year. Already Apple stayed at 19.2%, with a rise, even so, of 15.7%.
Russia, Ukraine, Spain and Italy were the European markets where Xiaomi proved to be most popular. As for the most popular equipment, the Mi and Redmi ranges stand out.
The next places in the European top are occupied by Oppo (56%) and Realme (3.8%). The remaining brands correspond to the remaining 22.2%.
