Neiland 21st and Skujin 88th in a one-day bike ride Milan – Sanremo

Latvian cyclists Christ Neiland (“Israel Premier Tech”) un Toms Skujins (“Trek – Segafredo”) took 21st and 88th place on Saturday in the prestigious Milan-Sanremo one-day bike ride, respectively.

Cyclists had to cover 293 kilometers in this race, which had to cover several climbs.

The victory was celebrated by the Slovenian Matthew Mohorich (“Bahrain – Victorious”), who reached the finish line in six hours in 27 minutes and 49 seconds.

Second place was won France cyclist Anthony Tierzis (“TotalEnergies”), who lost to the winner by two seconds, and the Dutchman Matte van der Pool (“Alpecin-Fenix”) was in third place, also losing only two seconds.

Neiland was 26 seconds behind the winner and earned 20th FIA world ranking points. Skujiņš, on the other hand, crossed the finish line six minutes and one second later than Mohoričs.

The Milan-Sanremo bike ride has been running since 1907, but last year the Belgian Jaspers Steens won.
