“I wasn’t in the apartment at the time. My 15-year-old son called me. Someone knocked because there was a cell phone in front of our door,” says neighbor Rasha. Roommate as suspect
Most recently, a worrying death was reported from Favoriten. Here, a 24-year-old initially stated that he had found his roommate of the same age lying lifeless in bed at midnight on Sunday. The emergency services could only confirm death; the cause of death was head injuries, although their origin was initially unclear.
Yesterday, Friday, the Vienna police reported that the man had been hit on the head with a bottle by his roommate during a violent altercation. The suspect confessed to the crime and was taken to a prison on suspicion of intentionally causing serious bodily harm resulting in death.
