Mariëlle and Michiel proudly show off their tropical garden. So they can’t enjoy their garden because of the frequency of heating in the neighbours’ homes. “Everything here is covered in blue smoke. The only thing we can do is run inside. Because of the stench,” explained Mariëlle. The music that the neighbors play loudly is also a source of great concern for the couple. The neighbor would also spit on Mariëlle and Michiel’s car. To make matters worse, death threats were also reportedly sent.
“The neighbors have to stop this behavior,” Mariëlle says firmly. She wants to put a restraining order on the neighbors. “And stop that heater, stop that sadness.”
Els and Hans think in their neighborhood that Mariëlle and Michiel are ‘two idiots’. “They don’t cry about anything,” Els laughs. According to Hans, heating the stove is not too bad either, because they only light it two or three times a year. “Sometimes I throw a little too much wood at him,” she said. “Then he starts smoking.”
Mariëlle then explains that her neighbors say that she is psychologically abusing their children. And that works like a red rag to a bull. “They had VeeligTuis,” she says. It makes Marielle angry. However, Hans says that he is sure that all is not well at Mariëlle and Michiel’s home. “I have also been mentally abused. I recognize things,” he says firmly. Els and Hans claim that they can continue to use their stove. “And that we are left alone,” they say.
Mr. Frank Visser is not present this time to resolve the dispute between neighbors, but his agent Bart Beuving will. Whichever way we look at it, emotions run high between the two couples during the hearing. The accusations fly back and forth.
In the end it is also Mr. Beuving that makes a statement. He rules that Els and Hans can only shoot ten times a year and that they are not allowed to play music outside after 10pm. Neighbors will also be banned from communicating. They are no longer allowed to talk to each other or post about each other on social media. “From today on you are the air for each other,” said Mr. Beaving.
