Neighbors, Community Members, and Organizations Unite to Remember the Deceased and Speak Out Against Domestic Violence

Neighbors, community members, reverends and organizations came together to remember the deceased and speak out against domestic violence.

It transpired that the man was under a lot of stress to find a new home after ending his employment as building superintendent.

Steve Fuselli from the organization WARM stressed the importance of seeking help, especially from victims of domestic violence, to prevent these cases from ending in tragedy.

“A family is dead and we couldn’t help them if they knew there were opportunities, other options,” he said.

“Domestic violence happens wherever it wants, but there are options, they don’t have to continue in the abuse,” he added.

According to figures from New York City, domestic violence accounts for 17% of murders.
