According to Investigative Committee of Belarus, in the Vitebsk region, a man killed a neighbor because of a chainsaw. The incident took place on September 19 last year in the Liozno region.
According to investigators, a 57-year-old man had been helping a 74-year-old housekeeper for several years, but on that September evening in September, he decided to rob a pensioner. He broke into the woman’s house and began to demand a chainsaw, and after refusing, he began to inflict numerous blows on the victim with a knife. When the pensioner fell and could no longer resist, the defendant took everything he needed.
To prevent the woman from calling the police, the attacker cut the wire of her phone and removed the battery from the smartphone. After the man closed the house and explored the yard area.
But the woman managed to call for help, reaching the window.
The man was detained by neighbors and handed over to law enforcement officers, and the victim was hospitalized. Despite the efforts of doctors, the woman died.
On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under several articles of the Criminal Code of Belarus.
