For these end-of-year celebrations, the municipality of Nègrepelisse invites you to come and discover the Christmas market which will take place on 16 and 17 December, on the esplanade of the castle.
On 16 and 17 December, on the esplanade of the Castle, Nègrepelisse will organize a new Christmas Market formula with its village of artisans and traders and many activities. The last frame meetings made it possible to validate the organization of this great event for these end-of-year celebrations. Everything is ready to welcome this new market formula which will offer fifteen covered stands. This year, the organizing committee wanted to offer a more complete and attractive program. From Monday 12 December Santa Claus will park his sleigh at Place Nationale, until Thursday 15 December. It will welcome children who come to deliver their letter every day from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Photos, sweets, will be there for the greatest joy of the little ones and to receive their mail which will hurry to deliver to the elves.
The Christmas market will start on Friday 16 December from 6 pm, with the animation of the Nègrepelisse association celebrating Christmas and the competitions of the elves, young and old, who will start from the esplanade of the Castle. The stands will be open and you will be able, while supporting a great initiative for school children, to shop for your end-of-year gifts. The evening will continue with the musical entertainment of the Garanous and a bodega to share some special gems with friends or family. On the menu, hot ends, cold cuts or traditional grilled chestnuts. Everything is designed to warm bodies and souls in this festive period, and to add a little magic to this magical evening, the village of Nègrepelisse will invite you, at 9:30 pm, to a magnificent fireworks display on the ramparts of the castle.
Saturday 17, the Christmas market will welcome visitors from 10:00. From 1:30 pm many free activities: various escape game sessions in the castle for the more adventurous, film screenings, Christmas pastry workshops and the creation of festive decorations, discovery of the city in a horse-drawn carriage, photos with Santa Claus. While the parents wander around the market, the children can have fun, and this for free. But don’t worry, adults will be able to participate in the bowls competition organized by the Association of Merchants and Artisans of Nègrepelisse (Acan). At the end of this afternoon, Acan will invite Nègrepelissians to the closing plate of the 2022 Christmas market.
