The last collection of blood products in Nègrepelisse, organized by the EFS (French Blood Establishment), was a real success with donors.

It should be noted that the traditional snack after donation was, this time, worthy of a starred restaurant. In partnership with the Association des restaurateurs de Tarn-et-Garonne and the art and design center, La Cuisine, the EFS offered donors a gourmet snack specially concocted for the occasion. Sweet and savory to perk up after the donation and to finish it off, a dessert cooked on site: a crêpe Suzette.

This meeting, unprecedented in Nègrepelisse for donors, was very well received and the collection center was never empty.

Almost 20% more donors

At the end of the day, the results were more than positive with 92 donations collected and 8 new donors. Manon Valentin, in charge of promoting donations for the Quercy and Tarn basin, explained: “Usually, we can count here on 75 to 80 withdrawals. The ephemeral restaurant set up by La Cuisine and the chefs has been a plus in this organization. reminds: 1 donation equals 3 lives saved so we can say that we will save 276 lives thanks to this fundraising and the mobilization of all the actors. In view of these very good results, we hope to renew this type of partnership “. Some gourmets have even been tempted to donate blood twice. But that was not possible!
