At the end of June, the EFS published for the second time in its history, and this less than six months apart, a vital emergency bulletin. The level of blood reserves in France is historically low. It is a critical situation, on the eve of departures on vacation. It could prove dangerous in the short term for patient care and emergency medicine. Without significant, constant mobilization now, and without a significant increase in the state of stocks in the coming days, the risk is major for patient care.
“With all the volunteers of the association, we will be mobilized for the next collection, July 29, in Nègrepelisse, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the new room of the Aimé-Padié complex. We need the mobilization of all in the face of the situation brought to us by the EFS. One word: let’s mobilize”, explains the president of the Association for the promotion of blood donation, Bertrand Sialino, who recalls that she is still looking for of volunteers.
