As reported by the deputy minister of state assets Artur Soboń on his Twitter, on Friday (March 19), after 15 hours of negotiations with miners on the social contract for 2021-49, almost the entire content was agreed agreements. There are still two issues, however – indexation salary and how to guarantee employment.

The meeting with the miners began at noon on Thursday 18 March and lasted until 3 a.m. the next day. As reported by ISBnews, the return to negotiations is planned for next Monday. Dominik Kolorz, chairman of the Silesian Solidarity, said that “it is time to finalize the matter and end a series of meetings lasting several months.” Both sides insist that they want to work out a compromise by the end of March.
