Negotiations have failed, Schick ends in Leipzig. The Romans want to sell the Czech shooter

Patrick Schick will not play for Leipzig from next season, reports the daily Bild. Negotiations between the German club and the employer of the Czech football player, the Italian AS Roma, failed on all fronts.

Despite a fabulous injection of £ 48 million for the sale of gunner Tim Werner to Chelsea in London, Leipzig did not exercise the transfer option on Schick. 29 million euros seemed a lot to lead the third team of last Bundesliga season, as did the subsequent reduction to 25 million.

In Leipzig, they wanted to score 40 percent less, although Schick certainly did not disappoint in his jersey and scored ten goals in twenty-two Bundesliga matches.

Now, however, there have been no auctions that the 24-year-old forward in Leipzig will extend his successful hosting. The Romans insist on the sale, Schick wants to monetize at any cost, and they have ended such long negotiations.

However, according to recent statements by sports director Markus Krösche, Leipzig does not want to accept the loss of another goalie striker even after a radical step by the Italian club.

“It is difficult all the time. We have a hard time finding an agreement with AS Roma all the time. We will see what the next weeks will bring. Maybe we will still find a solution,” he said.

According to Bild, a new candidate from Germany’s top competition has already appeared. It’s supposed to be Hertha Berlin.

The club, in which Schick’s teammate from the national team, Vladimír Darida, works, does not hide its high ambitions, financial possibilities or desire to strengthen powerfully. According to behind-the-scenes information, Hertha is ready to offer Schick for 25 million euros.

There is also talk of Leverkusen’s interest, which is likely to lose its biggest offensive gem, Kaie Havertz, during the summer break. But Schick is also peered by suitors from the English Premier League or the Italian AC Milan.

Former player Sampdorie Genoa has a valid contract in Rome until the summer of 2022.

In any case, the tall Czech forward will finish this year’s Champions League in Leipzig. On Thursday, the quarterfinals played for one match await him. The ambitious German club will face the Spanish giant Atlétic Madrid on the neutral ground of the Estádio da Luz stand in Lisbon.
