Negotiations for 8 billion dollars, IMF demands Pakistan to do more

Web Desk: Negotiations have started between Pakistan and the IMF for a new 4-year program, after the success of which Pakistan is expected to get 8 billion dollars. In this regard, IMF has also started demanding a moratorium.
According to the sources, during the negotiations, the International Financial Institution has demanded Pakistan to impose an additional tax of 1300 billion rupees in the upcoming budget.
Sources say that Pakistan has started negotiations with the IMF for a new 4-year program, after the success of which Pakistan is likely to get $8 billion.
The IMF is demanding new taxes from Pakistan, the International Monetary Fund has demanded that half of the taxes be collected from the salaried class and entrepreneurs.
In this regard, the ongoing report states that if the IMF’s demand is accepted, the annual target of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will reach 12.3 trillion rupees.
According to the sources, the IMF’s demand for additional taxes of Rs 1300 billion will be discussed during the staff level negotiations for the upcoming bailout package.
In this regard, the possibility is being clarified that Pakistan may get a loan program from the IMF, but along with this, their demand for Domor is also gaining momentum.
