Italian press reports revealed the failure of current negotiations between club officials Napleswith technical director Antonio Conte, in order to take over coaching the team, instead of Rudi Garcia, who was close to leaving, due to poor results.
The famous journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that Antonio Conte had a long and direct conversation with Napoli today, and the discussions were not positive as the Italian coach decided to continue waiting for a new opportunity.
He added: “Napoli president De Laurentiis spoke directly with Conte, but no agreement was reached, as Antonio prefers to wait before accepting the new job.”
In the latest edition, the Italian League champion is seeking to replace its French coach, Rudi Garcia, after a series of modest results at the beginning of the current season in various competitions.
Rudi Garcia took over as coach of Napoli at the beginning of the current season, succeeding former coach Luciano Spalletti, who is currently coaching the Italian national team.
