It’s no secret that the most popular car of the Chinese brand Haval in Russia and in the world today is a crossover called the H6, and it is the experience of its operation that is most often interested in overcoming stereotypes about the “Chinese” Russians. So one of the Russian-speaking owners who got bored in quarantine in the city of Yiwu from Zhejiang province decided to share a review about his Haval H6 directly from China.
This Haval H6, already in pre-owned condition, was purchased in 2018: the Russian had no previous experience in driving Chinese cars, so he was preparing for any outcome. When buying, the driver liked the brutal appearance of the crossover, although he immediately removed all the nameplates along with the radiator grille for the sake of even greater beauty. And after 2 years of operation, it became clear: this “Chinese” is a generally trouble-free machine.
All that was done to maintain the activities of the Haval H6 was the replacement of oil and filters every 5 thousand km and a one-time replacement of candles. Moreover, the service cost him about 2 thousand rubles. Surprisingly, no breakdowns or repairs occurred. In addition, it turned out that the H6 has a really comfortable cabin, a spacious and convenient luggage compartment for loading things, excellent handling and cross-country ability.
The Haval H6 had only two drawbacks: the brakes were too smooth for the mass of the crossover and the acceleration was not fast enough – instead of a 1.5-liter turbo engine, a 2-liter car would do.
Motorists thinking about purchasing this car are often interested in the question: is the Haval H6 in China different from those that are brought to Russia, whether it is the same car, or where it was born, it came in handy. But the author reports: his impressions do not differ too much from the reviews of SUV owners living outside the Celestial Empire.
