The Child Health Expert explained, Prof. Hartono Gunardi, to issue a diagnosis of a stunted child is not a short matter. Because, there are many aspects that must be assessed, not just the height or the short body of the child.
“It is necessary to have a thorough identification until a diagnosis of stunting in children is finally obtained. In fact, after the diagnosis is obtained, the next step that must be taken is to find out the cause of the stunting, whether it is due to chronic malnutrition, chronic infection, or other factors,” he explained in health webinar, yesterday (29/6).
Well, if the cause is known, the next task is to fix it. That is, for example, if the child is stunted due to malnutrition due to the child vomiting continuously, then the condition will be corrected.
