Nedvěd is in danger of being banned from working. In Italy, the court began falsifying accounting

11 Serie A and Serie B clubs are involved in the case. The Turin club investigators suspect that it has issued invoices for non-existent services and has provided false information to investors. The Naples leadership, in turn, was to fraudulently reduce the book value of Nigerian player Victor Osimhen, whom he bought from Lille the year before.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the plaintiff is demanding the harshest for former sports director of the Turin club Fabio Paratici and for the heads of Juventus and Naples Andrea Agnelli and Aurelio De Laurentiis.

For Paratici, who now works in Tottenham, the prosecutor’s office is proposing a ban on running for up to 16 months. Prosecutors want a one-year sentence for Agnelli and 11 months for De Laurentiis.

About 60 officials from 11 clubs are accused of fraud in reporting the value of players in accounting. There are five of them in the highest Italian competition. In addition to Juventus and Naples, there are also Sampdoria Genoa, FC Genoa and Empoli.

Juventus faces a financial penalty of 800,000 euros (about 20 million crowns). Other clubs face fines in the millions. There have been speculations in the past of much harsher penalties.

The hearings will continue on Thursday and Friday, with a first-instance verdict expected after Easter.

Former captain of the Czech national team and holder of the Golden Ball for the best footballer in Europe in 2003, Nedvěd played for Juventus from 2001 to 2009. After finishing his career, he moved into the club’s management, in 2015 he became vice president.
