nect.de – Calenberger Online News: Make a big difference with a blood donation

In principle, any healthy adult between the ages of 18 and 68 (as a first-time donor between 18 and 59) can donate blood. Blood donations in old age are possible according to the individual decision of the doctors of the blood donation service of the DRK. Women can donate blood 4 times, men up to 6 times within 12 months. There must be an interval of at least 8 weeks (56 days) between two blood donations. Blood donors must carry their accident allowance and blood donor card as well as their identity card. For first-time donors, an official photo ID is sufficient.

To avoid waiting times, it is advisable to book a time for donation online in advance. Upon reservation, donations can be given priority at the reception. But even without a reservation, everyone is welcome.
