In the last minute of AZ – NEC on October 29, Bas Dost collapsed on the field, after which the match was stopped. At that point, there would still be about five minutes of injury time to be played. “It’s ridiculous that we have to go back,” says Schöne ESPN. “Six minutes of football and four hours on the bus, unprecedented. It’s not a match you want to be reminded of and then you have to go back.”
NEC trainer Rogier Meijer partly agrees with Schöne. “We have to do our job and we have to do it well, because those are three important points for us. On the other hand, it is also a strange situation, because the last time we were there something happened to one of our boys. very serious thing happened. That’s a bit crazy.”
