NEC fans gather at Goffertstadion in Nijmegen | Inland

NIJMEGEN – Thousands of fans came to the Goffert Stadium on Sunday evening to pay tribute to the players of NEC. During a short ceremony they celebrated exuberantly that the club is being promoted to the Eredivisie. They lit fireworks, sang along to music, photographed with players and chanted slogans. A small stage had been set up on which the players stood while they were cheered on. Stewards were present to keep the popular festival on the right track. The ceremony ended around 11:45 PM.
