Nebosha Vignevich, Technical Director of Al Dhafra (Al Gharbia Fares), announced his satisfaction with his team after going to the first round of the ADIB Cup.
On the ground of the “Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium”, Faris Al Gharbia found himself falling 3-1 against host Ajman (orange).
“I am satisfied with the performance because we have worked to offer the opportunity to a number of players who have been far from participating in the last period,” Vignevich said.
Vignevich recounted the events of the match, during which his team managed to reduce the score to 2-1 with Ajman, before deepening his crisis with a friendly-fire goal signed by Claudio Santos.
“We were physically hit during the second half of the match,” said the man, who came from training in the Hungarian league.
Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium will host the return match between Orange and Western Fares on 26 November.
