The farmers are still in front of the prefecture where they have asked the prefect, Catherine Séguin, to come and meet them. But she refused to take to the streets. However, they should meet her in the afternoon according to the farmers there.
To show their anger, manure was dumped under the windows of the prefecture. The demonstrators decided to stay in front of the prefecture until 2 p.m.

In the Forez
The straw bales dumped in front of Leclerc d’Andrézieux-Bouthéon in the morning were removed by the services of the town hall. The demonstration took place calmly, there was no overflow.
The thirty or so farmers present and the nine tractors left to join the Saint-Étienne demonstrators in front of the prefecture.
The mobilization should last up to 2 p.m.

Update at 11:30 a.m.
About thirty tractors set off from the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium in Saint-Etienne to reach the Loire prefecture. This demonstration is organized at the call of the main agricultural union, the FDSEA.

They went up Boulevard Thiers before taking the Grande’Rue, in the direction of the prefecture. They completely block the Grand’rue from Place Jean-Jaurès to Place Carnot. Public transport is stopped. They are nearly 200 farmers and around thirty tractors.

Tons of manure in front of hypermarkets
This Wednesday morning, the farmers began by dumping tons of manure in front of the Leclerc hypermarkets in Saint-Chamond and Andrézieux-Bouthéon.
The trailers loaded with manure, they took the direction of the prefecture of the Loire where they asked to be received by the prefect.
