On New Year’s Eve, 690 cars were burned in France and the police arrested 490 people for rioting. These are the data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of this country.
“2022 thus becomes the year in which the fewest cars were burned and the largest number of arrests were made on New Year’s Eve,” Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said in a statement.
According to the statement, 90,000 police and gendarmes were involved in France on New Year’s Eve. In addition, several victims have been reported by the police.
