Nearly 500,000 euros have been collected online for the benefit of the family of the policeman who killed the teenager near Paris, donations for the mother of the murdered boy amount to 76,000 euros, according to data on two sites where donations are collected, BGNES reported.
An appeal for donations under the name “Support for the Nantera policeman’s family” on the donation site Gofundme said that in two days €493,166 had been raised, while the original goal was €50,000. Over 24,000 people have joined in donations. An appeal on the website Leetchi to help the mother of 17-year-old Nael, who was killed in Nanterre, raised €76,323. Nearly 5,000 people participated in it.
The 38-year-old police officer is being held in custody against the accused in the case of intentional murder.
