Nearly 500 demonstrators in Grenoble against the reform of unemployment insurance

REPORT – Nearly 500 people marched in the streets of Grenoble to protest against the reform of Unemployment Insurance which is due to come into force on 1is July 2021. Government objective: achieve savings of 1 to 1.3 billion euros by tightening compensation rules and combating excessive recourse to short contracts. But its detractors fear that it will make temporary workers and the unemployed more precarious, already weakened by the health crisis.
