Nearly 25,000 Workers in Durango Yet to Convert Infonavit Credit to Pesos

Almost 25,000 workers have yet to change their Infonavit credit to pesos in Durango

There are 24,917 workers in Durango, who have not yet been able to convert their Infonavit credit to pesos and enjoy the benefits of the shared responsibility program, said Fernando Hernández Ozuna, delegate of the institute.

The official pointed out that, with data from the end of July of this year, 16 thousand 738 people have managed to change their credits to pesos, which translates into discounts on debt equivalent to more than 1,312 million pesos since the program began in 2019.

This conversion is done after the 9th of each monthall for free and transparently through My Infonavit Account where the program option called Shared Responsibility appears.

If the accredited have any questions online, they can go to the offices of the delegation both in the city of Durango and Gómez Palacio to receive advice on the steps to follow and the options they have, but the decision of which option choose, is the credit holder.

Hernández Ozuna mentioned that, among the benefits of converting a loan to pesos, is the fixed annual interest rate of one percent to 10.45 percent, an amount that varies according to the borrower’s monthly income.

It is a monthly payment and fixed balance without annual increases, greater clarity in payments and balances, as well as a discount on debt to finish paying off the credit.
